My practice includes children, adolescents, and adults and is grounded in the belief that you can make positive changes and reap the rewards of this work in your life and in your relationships. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to set the goals that guide our work together, and in creating a safe and nonjudgemental therapeutic space from which we can explore your unique struggles.
I have worked in the field for the past 17 years, and have a wealth of experience working in hospital, CLSC and school settings.
I completed my bachelor and master's degrees in Social Work at McGill University, and then was accepted into a post-graduate program in Couple and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
I have been working as a therapist in private practice for the past seven years, and am skilled in working with a wide variety of presenting issues including:
- School related difficulties
- Parenting challenges
- The onset of risky behaviours in adolescence
- Relationship difficulties in families or in couples
- Remarriage issues
- Crises related to illness, pain management and loss
- Work relating to depression, anxiety, perfectionism
- Work related to depression
My fee per 1 hour session is $100.00 Some insurance companies do cover this expense, and the fees are tax deductable on your personal income tax.
